Peer Encouragement Program
As front line staff, we do face setbacks and frustrations whilst we render our service. While compliments are hard to come by, receiving complaints and scoldings are inevitable. What motivates us to keep us going and continuing serving our patients and visitors with our sincere heart is..... the word of encouragement."Sometimes just a little genuine compliment can make someone’s entire day." A lot of hard work and tremendous effort had been put in to kick start the very first initiative - Peers Encouragement Program (PEP)! They met up, discussed, designed and handmade every cards! The PEP was launched on 5th Aug 2013. Kudos to all the PAMs! How do our staff feel about this initiative? Let's hear what they say. “I feel very contented when my peers could recognize my hardwork on ground. It gives me a satisfaction and also helps to boost my confidence level. On many occasions, our good deeds towards patients and visitors are unrecognized and not being able to be appreciated. So, this campaign played a good part as an encouragement for our work. I would like to thank my PAMs for giving us this opportunity to realize our effort being put in towards our department.” - Para "Personally for me it is a good way to cheer us, feel so appreciated. Even it is just a small gesture, sometimes it caught me by surprise to learn that I received thumbs-up from my colleagues after helping the visitors!" - Wani "I feel that no doubt it is only a small little card, it means a lot to everyone. This shows the moral support from our colleagues." - Vicky "After some observations after the launch of PEP, I thought the programme was well received. Moral of staff do changed and even the service delivery gets better. The work and wonders of moral support from the colleagues indeed is important in our daily job scope." - Akhbar
The PEP has come to the end.. BUT the spirit of giving the words of encouragement and compliments for job well done continues. Encouragement is cost-less but priceless!
Stay tuned to find out who is the received the most encouragement/compliments and last but not least.... stay tuned for more exciting initiatives to spice up our working days!
